“Why Does Nutrisystem taste so bad”

I followed the program without exception. Although I lost some bulk the first week, at the end, I never actually lost weight. I gained 1 lb. and that was disappointing although I enjoyed the food. I called and spoke with a counselor. He said that I was doing everything the right way but that I should cut back on the diet soda, which I did but it did not change anything.

“While some of the foods may look like typical “off limit”, Nutrisystem® D® has the optimal amount of low-glycemic, fiber-rich carbohydrates, protein and fats, with 12g or less of sugar in each meal or snack. These nutrients help your body digest glucose slowly, and this prevents spikes in blood sugar while keeping you satisfied.”

I’m so glad I found this review! I was struggling with how I was going to afford 300 a month to keep going with nutrisystem… and then came your article with the ebay suggestion. Now I’m saving 80 a month and the 218 is well within my normal range for groceries :D. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

I did the original Nutrisystem diet in the early 90s, back when the food truly was horrible. Nevertheless, I dropped 30 pounds in just three months and even managed to keep it off for another five years after I left the diet. But nature always has the last word and my weight started to climb again, this time to 240.

In case you were wondering about clinical research or any other medical backup, dieticians do believe it can work. If the candidate is disciplined enough, the foods from Nutrisystem are very healthy and balanced.

As with the diabetes plans, the vegetarian plans are offered in Basic, Core and Uniquely Yours versions. Unfortunately, there isn’t anything extra added for vegetarians. With this plan, you basically have access to all of the menu items minus those that contain meat. No meat alternatives are offered.

Are you looking to sign up with Nutrisystem and are interested in finding out more about how you can get started right now? Remember, what you have here is a super convenient, time saving diet plan that works! You can click your mouse on the image below to visit the official Nutrisystem website and really go for it.

My second month I ordered pizzas, melts, chicken sandwiches and chicken breasts, hamburgers. No, it’s not like the fast food versions. But fun to be able to have pizza in some form on a diet! And bread! And dessert even at 11 at night before bed! And STILL lost weight!!

You need to research the physiology of weight loss. Weight loss predisposes the body to gallbladder issues. Not everyone gets them, but some do and it has nothing to do with Nutrisystem except that it is helping you to lose weight. I am not a fan of Nutrisystem as it caused me significant gastric discomfort, but I stopped using it. But gallbladder problems can happen in anyone who loses weight…with or without a “program.” You have no basis for a lawsuit in my opinion. Your doctor should have explained that too you during your gallbladder treatment. And by the way, you don’t need a gallbladder to live.

I always thought, if I ever became rich and had the money to spare, I’d try out one of these food delivery systems in a heartbeat. Like Lynda, I love that everything is planned out already…there is no calorie counting or anything involved. Plus no cooking is involved, so it’s perfect for people with busy lifestyles. It seems like it would be easier to stick to a plan if all you can eat is already provided for you. To make it easier to follow, I wouldn’t keep any other food in the house except for the fruits and vegetables needed to supplement the food provided.

I bought the Nutrisystem 5 day weight loss kit. Some of the stuff is really good and some of the stuff is not. I am only on my second day, I’m hoping that I can lose the 7 pounds it says I will. What brought me here to comment is the meatloaf and mashed potatoes. It was so horrible. I mean, I had to force myself to eat it.Im hoping that was beef I ate because it looked and tasted like dog food. The lunch I had was three cheese chicken which was a half cup of noodles but it was pretty good even though it did not fill me. I had a salad on the side. The chicken pot pie wasnt great either but i added some seasoning to it which made it better. It’s great because you learn how to eat smaller portions. But if you’re a cook like me and you love food and flavor, then it’s difficult to eat this food. On the brighter side, the desserts and breakfast are great.

The meals they provide are generally really simple to get ready: Take each one out of its packaging (or the freezer if it’s a Uniquely Yours plan with fresh frozen meals) and follow the instructions on the packet. That will be to either eat as it comes, or put them into the microwave to heat up for a hot meal.

I want to add for other people reading this that everyone will lose weight at their own pace and some will lose it faster than others. If you’re not overweight and try to diet to lose some, you probably should not expect to lose much.

They offer a wide range of plans for pretty much anyone needing to lose weight, including diabetics, vegetarians, and seniors. They even customize their plans for men and women, so no matter your unique dietary needs, chances are pretty good that they have an option that will work for you.

If this keeps up I’ll easily hit my target. Maybe beat it even! I can’t wait to start buying some nice clothes in regular sizes. I haven’t done that since I was a teen over 20 years ago! Wish me luck everyone!

While on the Nutrisystem program I received the shelf stable foods and the fresh frozen foods too.  I love the fresh frozen foods but I also enjoy the shelf stable foods.  There is not a breakfast or dessert that I did not enjoy.  I could eat any of the shelf stable and frozen desserts and breakfasts.  They are all delicious.

Hi John. Thanks for describing your weight loss journey of losing 100 pounds using Nutrisystem. That is great news for you. My experience with Nutrisystem after 2 months on the program is similar to yours. I lost 7 lbs the first week. And steadily averaging 1 lb per week, totaling a loss of 10 lbs for the first month. I travel a lot and have a very stressful lifestyle, as I am self employed in the apartment rental business. I have learned that my portions have been way to much for my body frame of 5’3”. I am an emotional eater, so when I get stressed over money, I eat. I found Costco has 100 certificate for 80, with a savings of 60/month. I do the diabetic D plan because I read an article that the D plan had the most evidence based results in a clinical study. I have cheated many times after the first month because my job calls me away from home at the drop of a dime, which causes me stress. So my second month I lost and gained the same 4 lbs. so I’m now going into my 3rd month, still downs 10 lbs, from the start. I also find eating the smart carbs and fruit prevent me from losing weight, so I only eat the power-fuels, since my job is mostly sedentary, sitting behind a computer screen. What do you do to mantain your weight loss now that you are not on Nutrisystem?

Nutrisystem has been around for 35 years and claims to be an easy and affordable way to lose weight. The company provides prepared food and meal plans. Its diet plans are designed as portion controlled, pre-prepared meals.

Sure I’m guilty of giving them some promotion… but unlike TV ads, I did at least write a factual, unbiased and accurate review. Including plus and minus points. This website took a lot of working on – and I don’t work for nothing. The small commission I make for referring people to the company is recompense for my work. Hope that clarifies things for you.

While shopping for meals on the site, you will notice that there are many types of “favorites packs.” One of the most popular is the Fast5 Weight Loss Kit, which is designed to help you drop five pounds in a single week.

Known also as Nutrisystem D, this plan is geared toward people who suffer from diabetes. The daily and monthly price of this plan varies depending on the exact one that you choose. Basically, all of the plans that are highlighted above are available in diabetic friendly versions. Therefore, there’s a D Basic Plan, a D Core Plan and a D Uniquely Yours Plan.

If you have watched any television lately you have probably seen a sports celebrity advertising the benefits of the Nutrisystem weight-loss system. This program was once based in nationwide weight-loss centers; now you order your meals over the Internet and they are delivered to your home.

I was on this diet along with my mom, my dad, and later my brother before he moved out. All 4 of us lost weight on it. We followed the meal plans for daily intake and ate out every saturday night just making better decisions then we did before. This gave us a little taste of the “good fatty foods” so that we didn’t get burnt out on the nutrisystem.

I have recently finished the NS Jumpstart 5 day weight loss kit at WalMart. The food was good but what is with all the chocolate items, dipped, coated, slathered in sickenly sweet chocolate. Even the free shakes I received were chocolate. I’ve tossed a lot of items because I just cannot eat the chocolate stuff. I’ve emailed NS asking about this obsession with chocolate items and don’t get a response. I’m considering going on the program but even the Vegetarian option has numerous chocolate items.

I just signed up for the mens plan and I’m really stoked about getting started. I got a 50 percent discount through the advertisement on here and it was so cheap. I just had to come back and say thanks for motivating me to do it with your review… so thanks!

With the proprietary Nutrisystem D program, the company  claims that you can lose weight and maintain a normal life while dealing with the repercussions of diabetes. As a matter of fact, the Nutrisystem D diet plan has been vetted to help improve the symptoms of diabetes under the watchful eye of a medical professional. Depending on your needs, you can take advantage of the Basic plan, the Diabetes Core plan or the Uniquely Yours plan that maximizes your options without reducing your health benefits. Here are just a few of the health advantages that you can expect when you take part in the Nutrisystem D program:

Nutrisystem says that having a friend to keep clients honest is one of the best practices within the program. Simply having one person to keep a client on a plan will ensure that the directions are more closely followed. Additionally, clients are encouraged to take on a healthy exercise program alongside the diet program.

Nutrisystem is a great diet plan for anyone – especially men. I am using the Nutrisystem men’s basic plan and I couldn’t ask for a better diet plan. I get to eat great food that is already prepared for me everyday. I don’t have to think about calories. I don’t have to worry about eating healthy. All I have to do is follow the basic directions for following the plan and eat the Nutrisystem foods. The best part about the Nutrisystem plan is that I lost seven pounds since I started it a month ago.

  1. When I hear people talk about that pound cake they made the other night or watching those Tasty videos on Facebook, I am not fazed. I stopped going to buffets and doughnut shops. I do not have the appetite for those places any longer. It’s easy to say no to fattening foods.
The second  day I woke up with a slight headache but it soon subsided after I had a glass of water and breakfast. I added healthy snacks between my meals such as fresh avocado, yogurt and mixed nuts. The days got easier. By the third day of sticking to the plan (which was a big accomplishment for me), I was already feeling more energy and less bloating.
