I am so glad to hear you say that! How can anybody eat this stuff. It is foul! Most of it has no taste at all. I am not a picky eater but I could not eat this stuff. I actually threw all away. It was the biggest waste of money. If you want to loose weight, you need to get real, exercise, eat healthy foods and reduce your portions. It seems kind of slow, but I haven’t been able to lose two pounds on any of the other weight loss programs that I have tried over the years. I have around 50 pounds to lose, so I figure two pounds a week is a pretty good rate.

My stepson lost weight easily and happily. Unfortunately, Trying to convince his father and other people he comes in contact to keep him on the Plan was very frustrating. I am stopping the Plan as there is not a consistent approach with other people. Finding he ate 10 cookies because no one was watching him discourages me from continuing.

I am 48 yrs. old and am on my third week of nutrisystem. I was looking to lose just 10 lbs in three weeks to fit into a special dress. i have been stag-net at 7 for this entire third week. i do exercise for 30-40 minutes a day 5 days a weeks also (not vigorous, just walking of the elliptical. my clothes fit better, and i feel good, i think if you added in a walk or two you would definitely meet your goal . the portions are so controlled, it may just be water weight you are seeing.

However, there is one caveat with Auto Delivery, and that is the cancellation fee. Nutrisystem charges you $99 if you decide to cancel your plan early. As long as you’re on the plan for two months or more, though, you will avoid having to pay the cancellation fee.

When I hear folks say they lost this or that pounds, I think to myself, that’s cool. But when I hear someone say my tight clothes are now baggy, I think HELL YEAH! That’s what we’re doing this for. For US not for the bathroom scales!

They have a really big menu of options, and when you sign up online you can go through all sorts of choices of foods for breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert. Lots of grains, cereals and oats for breakfast. If you look at the menu it is foods you are familiar with. Same thing with lunch, things like Tex-Mex rice and Spicy Oriental Noodles with vegetables. For dinner offerings include Beef, Beans and Rice with BBQ sauce, pizza, lasagna, chili. All foods you would normally eat.

On the negative side, while Nutrisystem’s menu offerings sound delicious, not everyone is going to enjoy the taste of a packaged diet food indefinitely. “The biggest drawback to Nutrisystem, as with any other popular weight-loss program, is that the diet is not sustainable,” says Karen Gibson, RD, a dietitian at the University of Texas Medical School in Houston.

I have just finished my 2nd week of ns and have lost 8 pounds. I love everything about this program. The food is pretty good. There are a couple things that haven’t tasted so great but all in all I love ns.

I feel the need to comment. I just completed the fast 5 and am now starting my 28 day plan. I have lost 7 lbs in 7 days and I feel great. I love the convenience of not having to make alot of decisions. I rank each entree with a 1-3 score and amazingly – almost all are 3’s. Could I prepare something that was more delicious from scratch- of course… but then I’d likely find it higher in calories and my will power would be tested on my portion control. Face it- this is a diet! And as far as diets go- i am loving this one. I can choose the foods I like best- and I can have a snack/sweet each day. This is the first diet I have been on where i do not have to make a ton of choices and I feel totally satisfied all day long! I am amazed at those who are so critical… I for one recommend this diet to anyone. Also the CS staff has been very responsive and professional.

I got my NS order in the mail yesterday and went the women’s vegetarian plan. I was worried bc I read a lot of complaints that the food was garbage, but it really isn’t that bad to me. It is better than most diets I have been on! Idk why everyone is complaining…but maybe I am just not picky. Plus it is just soooo convenient. I am a busy college student with a job, so my schedule resulted in quick and easy fast food. No matter how healthy you try to be, fast food is still fast food. I am happy so far, while yes, the portions are small (the cinnamon bun was about as big around as a silver dollar), I think that is the point in losing weight. I just make sure to drink a big glass of water BEFORE I eat and one after to help with the hunger. Hopefully I will have some good results 🙂

I should clarify the calorie amount. It was a special 1,000/day for the first week and then they would move me up to 1,500/day. After 3 days I saw the 1,000/day was not sustainable. Adding the extra calories did the trick. Today, I’m usually in the 1,500-1,800/day range. It’s my opinion they start out with that crazy low amount for the first week to give you momentum and continue.

  1. You can still follow the program to supplement your meals after this. The plan basically teaches about portion control, healthy choices and not starving your body on a daily basis. This is not a good idea for your metabolism in general. Also, if you exercise for at least 30 minutes, three to five times per week you are naturally going to see results faster than just following the meal plan laid out for you. It is your choice though, and if you are committed to a healthy lifestyle then Nutrisystem can work for you very well. It’s meant to allow you to not think so much about dieting, and instead, just concentrate on a healthier lifestyle. This is to ensure that the excess weight you have gained comes off in a slow and healthy manner.
    I’ve been on for 5 days, and I’m finding I am also gaining weight. Is this normal? I tend to eat healthier than most but needed some improvement. I was surprised to see how much fat there was in some of the foods. I’m wondering if that is it since I’m not used to eating so much fat.
