I wish I could say all the nice things I am reading. I’ve been on the program for 2 weeks now and have not lost a pound! I followed the first week strictly and was expecting some great results and I only lost 2 pounds. The first week was difficult but I stuck it through. I was disappointed but still encourage. After my second, when I started eating more calories, and working out even more, I gained the 2lbs right back! Very discourage at the moment but I am going to stick with the for the rest of the month. Although I am not losing weight, I am loving my new eating habits. I eat at least 4cups of veggies a day, I stopped eating candies and drinking soda. I used to eat peanut M&Ms everyday and now I don’t even pass by the vending machine. lol I was told by a counselor to increase my calories intake because I workout a lot so hopefully, week 3 and 4 give me some happy results
Hey Megan, I printed it (like I do all of them)! You’re doing just great and as long as you stick with the plan and keep up an average 2lb per week from now on, you should see better than 25lbs lost after another 9 weeks you’re giving yourself. But don’t stress over things if that fluctuates as it can do. Just focus on the goal and stay positive!
The biggest thing to think about is the future, and what is going to happen when you lose the weight. Nutrisystem goes by calories and the glycemic index; if you don’t understand how these two correlate with weight loss, there is a great chance you will gain the weight back.
“I have used Nutrisystem in the past and just finished two months. My goal was 25 pounds and I did meet me goal. I find the plan to be very easy to follow and have gotten to know which selections I like which really makes it much easier. I would recommend the plan to anyone. I can say that I never really find myself hungry and the regular meals, snacks and water consumption makes it relatively easy. In addition everyone that I have dealt with on the phone has been very helpful and pleasant to deal with.”
I have been using this diet for 4 months and have lost 35 pounds. I do exercise like is recommended even though I don’t like it. I stick to the meals and the possible additions, and there is nothing so far I don’t like. The food is great and is easy to make. My favorite food is the macaroni and cheese, and the apple cinnamon oatmeal. The portions are enough to fill me up, and I don’t get hungry in another hour. I am never hungry anymore and don’t have to starve myself to lose the weight. I love that I can add fresh fruits and vegetables to the food for a more home cooked feel. I am doing this for myself, and love the results so far.
my husband and I have both been on NS for 2weeks now, he’s lost 12 lbs. and I’ve lost I think this diet works, and the food is definitely more satisfying and taste pretty good also.. We both have a considerable amount to lose, so I plan on continuing as long as I see these wonderful results..
Also, if you use Nutrisystem for one month, and then decide you want to cancel after that, there are other routes you can go to avoid paying the early termination fee. For example, you can switch your order to just Turbo Shakes for your second month, which costs about $79.
Nutrisystem, headquartered in Fort Washington, Pennsylvania, is a commercial provider of weight loss products and services. Initially, the company offered weight loss counseling and products in brick and mortar centers. In 1999, the company moved to a direct-to-consumer business model, selling its products and programs on the Internet and through a call center via 1-800 numbers.
I understand your frustration and dread over just starting out and thinking, “oh gosh, it is going to take so long to do this.” The way I had to think about it was this, if I don’t do anything, time will still go by and I will be right where I’m at now (like you have been for the past 10 years). I don’t think it will take you 2-3 yrs, I really don’t, but if it does, 2-3 yrs is going to go by regardless. You want to be at your goal weight then, not wishing you did something about it 2-3 yrs ago. As far as drinking goes, you can have A DRINK or two. No, you cannot pound them back, but I am not sure why you would want to anyway. Co-workers always ask me to go out for a drink and they order whatever and I order a diet coke. Finally someone said to me, “you don’t drink do you?” I said, “No not really. I don’t think it would mix well with my medication.” Nobody disrespects me for not drinking and I don’t get less invitations to go out. In fact, I don’t mind being a designated driver or keeping an eye on everyone to make sure they stay safe. You could blame it on medication if you want. For me, I really just don’t drink. Period. Never really have. If I have 2 drinks per year, that’s a lot. When I go out to eat or go to cookouts, etc. I order a meat and a vegetable with a diet soda. My favorite is 99’s 6oz petite sirloin with plain broccoli or carrots. No potato or anything. At a cookout it would be a burger or chicken with no bread, and a tossed salad or veggie. You CAN do it. You just have to order carefully. I wish you luck. You can do, I know you can.
I’ve had a lot of people ask me how Nutrisystem works when they find out that I’ve done it. While I was on Nutrisystem, people at work would always want to know how the program works. Most people have at least some idea how it works, from seeing the ads on television. But they want to know the ins and outs.
