I have to say that often, public communities, forums and blogs are wide open to abuse by spammers and idiots with nothing better to do with their time. It has a lot to do with people thinking that because they can remain anonymous, they can say what they like about anyone else.

The first few months I had to log what I ate each day.  I also logged the amount of exercise that I did.  Now I am able to do the logging in my head.  I eat more now than I did when I was actively trying to lose weight but I still monitor my weight and if I see it going up I just go back to doing what I did to lose the weight and keep it down where it needs to be.  Weight is going to be a lifelong battle for me.  I am always going to have to exercise and watch what I eat but now I know how to do it.  I know that if I do find myself gaining weight I can lose it again.  I am going to be very attentive to my body and keep watching myself to try and never be overweight again.

It was January 5, 2015. I mentioned to my husband that I was going to try Nutrisystem. I didn’t want to order online until I knew Nutrisystem was going to work for me. I was spectacle since no other diets seem to work. I headed to my local Walmart and purchased a Nutrisystem five day weight loss kit which included fifteen entrees and five desserts. I thought, “If I could just lose 10 lbs. I’d be happy”.

As for the Nutrisystem diet, I can’t praise it highly enough for getting folks to drop their weight especially when, like you, they’re determined to see it through and reach the goals they set for themselves. I have found again and again that when people have goals imposed upon them, they rarely stick it out, but when they set their own goals, it’s a totally different story and successes are the norm rather than the exception!

Following the Turbo Takeoff plan should help your body adjust to Nutrisystem diet plan, while also getting your weight loss kicked into high gear. Follow the detailed plan that is included, and you should lose a decent amount of weight during your first week on the program.

The plan comes with easy to understand instructions on how to lose weight. It also comes with access to a very useful website, daily menu planner and diary that are helpful for losing weight and keeping it off.

Also, if you use Nutrisystem for one month, and then decide you want to cancel after that, there are other routes you can go to avoid paying the early termination fee. For example, you can switch your order to just Turbo Shakes for your second month, which costs about $79.

I started the program about 4 weeks ago…I have lost 10lbs and am happy with the results so far. Most of all the tasty frozen foods help me stay on track as a treat in between the boxed foods. Drinking more water and walking 30 mins every day has made a difference logging in my food every day too. Keeping track of everything that goes in my mouth helps me keep my focus. Prefer to stay completely away from the beef/pork entrees they taste really strange. May go completely to the Vegetarian program…I am on the Women’s Silver for now. At any rate it’s definitely more protein than I am accustomed to eating and I have to say it’s working. The first two weeks I saw no progress on the scale which was discouraging but I kept at it. Then a few days into the third week I dropped 5 lbs. overnight! Yay! I was thrilled! Still losing and that is so encouraging. I had a very small taste of my husband’s cookie and couldn’t believe how horribly sweet it was…so the program has helped me not to crave sugar which I did have a problem with before. Eating lots of salads, veggies and fruit.I have had the gas and bloating too..but drinking more water helps to assimilate the fiber. My intention is to stay motivated and drop the rest of the weight I have to lose 60+ lbs…in it for the long haul. The program works and mainly I am on it to improve my health…apnea and asthma issues. Weight loss will help tremendously. Already it is easier to tie my shoes! I have more energy and will implement light weight lifting beginning this week. More active than I have beeb in years and I am enjoying it. The program has helped motivate me to become more disciplined with everything.I say go for it..the meals are convenient and they sure do help me to stay on task with my resolution for better health in 2012.

So think on that before you go dissing it! The meals are ALL good enough to eat and ALL of them I tried so far taste just fine to me. And I’m losing weight. It works people. Do not listen to these angry bitter trolls!

There are some aspects of any diet that will make it easier than others to succeed with. Nutrisystem has so many positive things going for it that as long as you stick to the diet, it will work for you and you will lose weight.

Finally, Nutrisystem also offers a very useful Eating Out Guide. In general, you should only dine out very occasionally. When you do, use the guide to make smart choices. It is incredibly thorough and includes a number of tips and tricks for sticking to your diet while dining out. There is even a section, Pick This, Not That, that highlights sensible choices by cuisine. If you feel like Indian takeout, consult your guide first to ensure that you order something suitable.

Research has shown that the calorie density of our diets will impact our weight. The calorie density is the amount of calories in a given weight of food. Consuming foods that are considered low-calorie dense aids in weight loss. These foods will provide a high volume without a lot of calories. By replacing foods that are considered high-calorie dense, you save additional calories. Some find it more satisfying to focus on consuming low-calorie dense foods in large quantities versus counting calories. The Pritikin diet also encourages daily exercise and stress-reduction techniques.

Of the 112 items in my last order (28 days worth), 32 items, (29%) were substitutes, Cate continued. It is unconscionable to me that they would arbitrarily opt to substitute almost a third of my entire order.

The support and information provided online and in-person sets Weight Watchers apart from most diets out there. There are numerous meetings across the country to choose from. For many people, having a place to weigh-in each week is a key to success.

Nutrisystem’s Uniquely Yours plan starts at $11.96 per day, and includes a full selection of all 150 meals — including adding as many frozen meals to the plan as you’d like. It costs $334.99 for women with auto-delivery, and $374.99 for men.

On the other hand, you may prefer having full control of the food you will be eating when on Nutrisystem, which is exactly why they created the Custom Plan. This option gives you more freedom when choosing the foods you’re going to eat, and you are allowed to pick any item from the entire Core line of products, as well as their Grab-and-Go Menu. This option is also great if you have the extra time to really go through all of their food options and prepare your menu for the week.

Hi, thanks for the great review! I stumbled upon your website after watching a video on YouTube, and I’m looking forward to giving Nutrisystem a try! I will return with some more feedback and let you know how it goes 🙂

The the induction phase gets people used to losing weight at a fast rate, which will not last and is not healthy. Faster weight loss does not mean healthy weight loss. Any diet that emphasizes fast, easy weight loss is one to approach with caution. The guidelines are clear that a safe, healthy rate of weight loss is to lose 1 to 2 pounds per week after the first couple of weeks. The Atkins diet states you will lose “only body fat” by eating regular meals, taking in adequate calories, and keeping your insulin levels down. There is no way to only lose body fat when losing weight. Each pound you gain from consuming excess calories is 75% fat and 25% muscle, and each pound you lose from cutting back 3,500 calories is the same ratio of fat and muscle. Claims that you will lose only fat are not based on science despite the fact that the Atkins diet claims to be scientifically based.

You should know that the meals are not gourmet feasts that you would get in top restaurants. They’re not comparable to the great home cooked meals your grandmother used to make. They are processed and pre-packed meals that are of reasonable quality for that type of meal. We mentioned this at length in our own reviews of Nutrisystem.

If you want to eat things like delicious chocolate cake, tasty brownies, cheese puffs, chocolate crunch bars, hearty beef stew, flame broiled beef patties, cheesy potatoes, pasta with beef, chocolate chip scones, cinnamon buns and egg frittatas and still lose weight, then you should try the Nutrisystem men’s basic plan.

I got my NS order in the mail yesterday and went with the women’s vegetarian plan. I was worried bc I read a lot of complaints that the food was garbage, but it really isn’t that bad to me. It is better than most diets I have been on! Idk why everyone is complaining…but maybe I am just not picky. Plus it is just soooo convenient. I am a busy college student with a job, so my schedule resulted in quick and easy fast food. No matter how healthy you try to be, fast food is still fast food. I am happy so far, while yes, the portions are small (the cinnamon bun was about as big around as a silver dollar), I think that is the point in losing weight. I just make sure to drink a big glass of water BEFORE I eat and one after to help with the hunger. Hopefully I will have some good results 🙂

If this keeps up I’ll easily hit my target. Maybe beat it even! I can’t wait to start buying some nice clothes in regular sizes. I haven’t done that since I was a teen over 20 years ago! Wish me luck everyone!

Norman, you seem to know the NS diet very well. I have been on this diet around 7 years ago and I see a few new changes this time. My order has arrived and I unpacked my Turbo Box yet did not keep that food separate, and now i am really unsure of what was in it for my first week….any help?

I am on my second week of NutriSystem and I have to say most of the food is horrible. I have had a few good things, but overall I will not purchase another month of food. I think Jenny Craig has much better tasting food, though both programs aren’t cheap.

NS has really re-trained me how to eat again with proper portion control. It’s not about eating tiny meals and staying hungry, it’s about knowing to eat a small main meal portion and adding healthy vegetables to each meal and snack. The NS meals are not bad tasting either and the desserts are pretty good.

With more Americans indulging in rich foods, “diet” has become a dirty word to most food manufacturers, including Glendale-based Nestle USA, which Monday announced plans to sell off its line of Sweet Success diet drinks and bars. The company said it would sell the low-calorie products line to diet e-commerce Web site Nutrisystem.com for 900,000 shares of Nutrisystem stock, or 3% of the company.

I’ve never considered myself overweight and I’ve generally eaten like I have nothing to worry about. So it will be difficult living the same active lifestyle on what will probably feel like a bottomless pit.

I was not thrilled with the taste of most of the food. I found myself resenting eating the food and was even turned off by the packaging of each item. In addition, I still had to purchase fruit and veggies which added to the cost of the program.

  1. Cheat days can lead to some falling off the wagon and having a major setback. Nutrisystem takes that guesswork out. It is all prepared and counted for you. Portions are controlled, and all you need to do is follow the program.
I just wanted to say I lost an incredible 21 pounds with my first month of Nutrisystem, I still can’t quite believe it. My second month came in yesterday and I’m determined to stick to this like glue with another 20 to so to hit my target of 170! Hey, the food is pretty good at least no worse than all the packet meals I was eating before. And I never felt hungry from day 1. This is some kind of amazing for me and I’m telling everyone who will listen to me!
