I tried the program several years agl. It worked well for me until they started emptying their warehouse and sent me 22 choclate brownies in one order along with other things that I specifically requested not be sent. They never once sent me the order I requested. The food war marginal at best and extremely overpriced. The same meals can be bought in the supermarket for 1/5th the price. The only advantage is not having to plan meals. Just add a salad or fruit.
Hi cook. Haha, underweight? No! Sadly no. According to Health Canada I am bordering obese by being 5’3″ and 157 pounds. I feel my best at 135 and was hoping to lose at least 10/15 pounds on Nutrisystem but no dice. I’ve had hormone tests and blood work done and nothing seems amiss so at this point it’s a mystery – so now we’re into a heatwave and nothing I own fits me anymore. Grrrrrrrrrrrr. The other thing I like about the Nutrisystem diet plan is they have a lot of variety, not to mention balanced meals. You have plenty of different foods to choose from. I never counted them, but for each meal there is at least 2-3 dozen different options to choose from.

Been on it for 5 days and lost 1.5 lbs, and the food taste great. I have no complaints on the amount of pasta and or rice in the meals or tomato sauce in alot of them. I have tried maybe 2 meals that were soso but other then that for those that say the pasta is too hard, stir it and cook it 20 more seconds (I did) or too soft maybe you cooked it too long or on the wrong power level. I have 100 lbs to lose and am excited to finally find something I like. Oh the first few days were hard, I did have extra diet shakes in the house and used them to supplement the hunger pains but on the 3rd day the extra cravings went away, today I woke with more energy and started a workout plan. I was on this diet along with my mom, my dad, and later my brother before he moved out. All 4 of us lost weight on it. We followed the meal plans for daily intake and ate out every saturday night just making better decisions then we did before. This gave us a little taste of the “good fatty foods” so that we didn’t get burnt out on the nutrisystem.
This is the ONLY diet that has EVER worked for me. Yes, some of the foods are ‘yucky’, but I just didn’t order them the next time. And like Jane said, it’s just a matter of translating store bought food to the same idea. I have ‘cheated’ a few times and am still losing an average of 3 pounds a week. This is the first diet that I am never, and I mean NEVER hungry. Sure it’s expensive, but my health (not being obese) is worth it. Staying on it long term is not an option because of the high sodium content, but it really has ‘taught’ me how to eat right! And eating fruits and vegetables is not considered unhealthy! Only 15 more pounds to go!
I have no kitchen skills so preparing complex and healthy meals can’t happen. Therefore, Nutrisystem works for me. I basically have two choices, low carb or Nutrisystem. Low carb works for me but, it can be pretty brutal and it’s too much meat for my taste. BTW, Nutrisystem offers a vegetarian plan.
