My husband and I both started this diet, he needs to lose 40 pounds I need to lose 100! Our first week he lost 12 pounds and I lost 15.5 all just in the first week. If you add spices to the food it makes good food GREAT. When hungry eat salad is what I tell my husband. He gets more snacks than I do but this to me is a very easy diet to follow. We planted a garden and makes it more fun to grow your own salads! I think the trick is once you lose your weight to keep it off. But I hope we get to that problem! I talked my husband into doing the diet with me and to tell you the truth, I think it helps him to understand the struggle of sitting next to someone eating foods that you can’t have when only one person is on a diet. No matter what you do in life …..it’s easier with two.
I have been on Nutrisystem since March of this year and I have lost 50 lbs. My only complaint is the price, however right now it is not a strain on me and I am pleased with the results. Some folks hate the food, but I actually enjoy it. You do still have to buy food to add in, but you get to eat basically all day long. I like the fact that I do get to eat pancakes, waffles, muffins, chococate cake, brownies, cake, cookies so I do not feel like I am missing out on anything and I have no reason to go out and binge on things I used to binge on.
The number of calories varies based on how long you’ve been a part of the program and which diet you choose. Typically, men consume 1,500 calories a day while women consume 1,200 per day on the program after the first week. It’s a low-glycemic program that helps you achieve slow and even weight loss.

I have tried the diet multiple times now, and I can confirm that it does, in fact, produce amazing weight loss results if you follow their plan correctly and stay committed to the program.
OK, Nutrisystem is not the perfect diet, by any stretch of the imagination, I’ll grant you. But it’s a good way to get started for many folks that don’t want to go counting calories or see a dietitian. But, as Mikstas points out, it’s costly and limiting if you like eating out. “The real question is whether you can continue to lose weight or maintain your weight when you are no longer relying on the prepackaged foods.” 
In weight loss, protein is important for giving your body the ability to put on lean muscle using the amino acids found in it. More lean muscle means more calories burned, even when you are not trying. You also burn more calories digesting them because it takes more for your body to metabolize and use them. Because it takes longer for them to work through your system, you will feel fuller for longer, meaning a less voracious appetite.
I have been on the program for a little over a month. Have already seen results. The food is absolutely delicious and I love the variety. Have already had to ask a question and received a prompt and courteous answer. I am a very satisfied customer and will recommend the program.
My second month I ordered pizzas, melts, burgers, chicken sandwiches and chicken breasts, hamburgers. No, it’s not like the fast food versions. But fun to be able to have pizza in some form on a diet! And bread! And dessert even at 11 at night before bed! And STILL lost weight!!
I have been on Nutisystem for months. 10 or 11. I do not eat dinners on the program. Only breakfast and lunch. I also only really love the frozen products. I do mix it up occasionally. Then I eat with my husband..my friends.. and I have lost from 143 down to 127 and keeping it off! The dinners are hard for me to eat as I’m not crazy about sauces. But the soups and noodles are great and I even eat lunch foods for dinner. I hope this helps u find your niche foods. Sincerely. Helen

Unlike traditional carbohydrates, high fiber is difficult for your body to digest, so it makes its way through your system without causing blood sugar spikes. It also satiates your appetite making you feel fuller longer without adding lots of calories to your intake.
I’m just on day three but I already am totally disappointed. I dont have much of a sweet tooth so I’m not thrilled about the amount of sweet ‘meals’ are in the package. I just now finished the Beef and Mashed Potatoes dinner and it was AWFUL. I doused it in hot sauce and forced it down. The Lasagna with Meat sauce was just okay and the pizza was flavorless and gummy. I still have a couple of dinners to go but I’m not expecting much. There are two savory lunches, both bland, and the rest are “nutrition bars” that are certainly not my idea of a lunch – regardless of what fresh foods I’m supposed to add. I refuse to throw money away and luckily, am not that picky of an eater so I will consume the entire package and take advantage of the weight loss aspect. However, I will not spend money on this awful tasting food again.
Nutrisystem recommends that clients follow the directions included in every meal plan. However, most of the plans include flex meals, which are open meals that are created solely by the client. The program also has some guidelines for these flex plans such as ingredients to stay away from.
I looked for so long for a diet plan that would help me to lose weight. After trying so many things that were meant for younger women with more resilient metabolisms, a friend of mine asked me what I knew about the Silver plan from Nutrisystem. I decided I would research it a little, because let’s face it, I’m not getting any younger.
