“Nutrisystem advanced Diet”

If NS does nothing but help me with portion control 90% of the time…I’m still ahead of the game. If I lose 30 pounds I’d be at my target weight for age and height. I like that it tells me exactly what I can add and in what portions. I can add a yogurt to my breakfast and a tablespoon of vinaigrette to my salad. Little things make all the difference.

Strongly agree! If you have a lot of weight to lose and your diet is terrible prior to starting NS, then it likely will help you lose because you will be eating healthier than before. If you’re already eating relatively healthy, but simply lack exercise, don’t expect the same (if any) results because exercise is crucial. I’m 5’7” and went from 270 to 180 on my own through healthy eating and moderate exercise 3 years ago. When I moved last year, I stopped going to the gym, started straying from healthy eating, and started working a desk job. I started NS a few months ago expecting to lose more weight thinking I just wasn’t eating the right food, but discovered it was lack of exercise that was the real culprit.

The program is really simple to follow and my carb, sugar and salt cravings are gone. Today my wife came home with a cookie for my son she bought at Starbucks. It looked so good, so I decided to have the NS chocolate chip cookie for my dessert and it was very satisfying. I love this program!

After you’ve picked one of the plans listed above, you will receive a full month’s worth of food right to your doorstep. I loved the convenience that Nutrisystem provided while on the diet – it really doesn’t get much easier – as long as you follow their plan, you’re pretty much guaranteed to lose weight.

The Mindset Makeover was developed by one of the leading psychologists in the weight loss field, Gary Foster, Ph.D. It is designed to “help people learn new behaviors when it comes to weight loss and related lifestyle issues.” This behavior piece is essential but very rare in most diets. You are given access to this and an online account with community support as part of each of the programs.

When it comes to community features, Nutrisystem proves mediocre. There aren’t any message boards on the Nutrisystem website itself, but you can connect with other users through its social media pages. The blogs posts are user testimonials that show before, during and after photos of people who have used the Nutrisystem program and found success.

It’s been a while since NutriSystem felt that sexy, too. The veteran diet-industry player was bankrupt a decade ago, then reinvented itself as an Internet distributor in 1999, struggling to sell its prepackaged meals through banner ads on Web sites. It took Net entrepreneur Michael J. Hagan to turn things around, ironically by shifting NutriSystem’s ad budget from the Web to traditional media.

The food plan is so incredibly easy. I love that I just open up the boxes, and there is my food, ready for me to eat without having to cook or shop. I am so happy to have someone else decide the details of what I should eat, but that I still have choices. I also am thrilled that I am losing weight without having to exercise at all. I figure once I get more weight off I’ll feel more confident and maybe I’ll actually want to get to the gym and do some of that exercise I’m supposed to be doing.

I bought Nutrisystem plan sometime ago and the food made me want to vomit. I am an excellent cook and most of the meals I prepare for my family are from scratch and very healthy. this stuff tasted like platic bags. I was lucky I bought it on QVC they have a 30 day money back guarantee at at the time with free shipping. I bought it on flex pay–so I only paid one installment. If you are on the fence try buying it way to see if you like it.

The NutriSystem weight loss programs have helped many individuals who struggle with their weight to lose weight with ease. Whereas many diets may cater more towards women, NutriSystem created three different programs designed just to accommodate the caloric needs of men who want to lose weight.

I joined the Nutrisystem plan because I knew I was headed in the wrong direction with my body weight. I decided to start going to a gym. Once I was going to the gym I decided I needed to start eating right too as I read that 90% of getting back in shape is what you eat. However, I did not know how to start eating right. That’s when I decided to try Nutrisystem.

Most of the meals are grain based. Many are wraps that are thick, tough, and tasteless. I opened them and scraped out a spoonful of filling. There is not nearly enough protein or healthy fat and way to [sic] much carbohydrates. They are convenient. However to make this plan work you still have to provide most of the food yourself. [11]

  1. Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death in postmenopausal women. Risk factors for cardiovascular disease include obesity and hypertension, and are associated with increased arterial stiffness.
That said, I do really like the meals, especially the breakfast choices. The muffins and granola bars taste really good.  So do the cereals. The lunches are pretty good, but I absolutely love the pasta dishes for dinner.
That being said, I’d have to disagree with you on the portion sizing. I think they were just fine and when you add in foods they allow you to add in it really is a lot of food – just the right food. I would also add that a big key to leaving the plan is continuing to live out what you learned as you go back to “real” food. If you don’t, you’re leaving yourself open to adding the weight back on.
