I started with the turbo charge and continued now for almost 3 weeks. I have only lost 3 lbs. There is no way I’ll lose 10 on the first month. When I emailed a counselor they said that was normal and I was doing well. Big hope very disappointed.

But I’m pretty sure the many thousands of satisfied customers that do/did like the food would also NOT be happy “picking up a dried out mess at some big-box-store cafeteria” as you so graphically described!

It can happen particularly to those dieters that have been used to eating an unhealthy diet of mostly processed and junk food. In that case, the body needs to grow accustomed to digesting much healthier food, which can sometimes create the gas some people experience. Some folks complain about it, but when you stop and think about it, the goal is to shed weight so is it really such big deal?

Hey AMW, I’m sorry it didn’t work for you but I’m a little confused. You said you your problem was “not eating enough” which might have most of the folks reading this thinking you were underweight to start with–and by eating more you’d naturally gain and not lose weight. Maybe you could clear that part up so we can understand your personal situation better. Thanks.

The dry goods chicken alfredo was was absolutely gross. Not sure the specs are the same (ie calories and protein) but the Weightwatchers chicken alfredo – especially if you add some frozen broccoli – is excellent. I made the mistake of ordering Core too – that dry food stuff is barely even food. I’ve made it easy by just adding a two-ingredient salad (with one Tablespoon low cal dressing) every lunch and at least one large serving of (usually frozen) veggies every dinner. That will even get you thru Turbo Takeoff week. I found I need to supplement (cheat) with apples, low fat cheese sticks, deli meat etc. every once in a while or I start to feel sick. I plan to stop using NS foods (replacing quick meal plans with other decent tasting frozen low fat meals from the store) but keep up the salad and veggies habit. Weighing yourself weekly for life is just about the only way to stay on track 🙁

Planning on finishing up the second month and then on the 3rd month working in more home cooked meals and tracking to stay at the same calorie level. Then will switch over to the ship of Turbo shakes for my 4th month.

That being said, I’d have to disagree with you on the portion sizing. I think they were just fine and when you add in foods they allow you to add in it really is a lot of food – just the right food. I would also add that a big key to leaving the plan is continuing to live out what you learned as you go back to “real” food. If you don’t, you’re leaving yourself open to adding the weight back on.

How many have been able to come off the nutrisystem diet and maintain the weight they lost. This type of diet is a quick weight loss fix but does not teach you how to prepare and portion everyday foods. My experience and the observation of others have been ultimately you need to get off your lazy butt and make a long term life style change. And those of you with blood pressure problems, cardiac issues, etc. have you cleared this with a physician?

The Atkins diet web site states the current plan “is about eating delicious and healthy foods, which makes it so much better than any of those fad diets out there. You eat a variety of your favorite foods — lean protein, leafy greens, vegetables, nuts, fruits, whole grains. Plus, you get delicious Atkins bars and shakes from day one and every step of the way.”

One downside of any dieting system like this is the cost. The price might appear a little high because you need to pay for a full four weeks of meals in a single payment. However, that cost can be offset by using a credit card and in addition, when you break it all down you’ll see it is obviously not as costly as it first appears.

Nutrisystem is a great plan for losing weight. I am a single man who doesn’t know much about cooking. I needed to lose weight because I was feeling unhealthy and my waist was growing. I am on my first week of NS….the turbo week. This is my 3rd day. I felt really tired yesterday and chatted to the counselor today who added a couple things for me. I have not cheated at all but my blood pressure is going up some now which has me worried. I saw where the program is under 2000 mg Sodium per day which should be ok. I will be talking to them more if this continues to be a problem. This program is helpful to me…living alone and hard to cook for just one. I am a comfort eater and eat with my computer or TV so I don’t even think about how much I eat. This program thinks for me…which is what I need right now! Thank you NS! I am on the woman’s basic vegetarian plan and have liked everything so far. I was sent some meat products accidentally in my first shipment but they corrected that quickly and I am being sent other products now. The cost is high…but it is worth my health if this works. Way less expensive than medication, procedures, etc, if your health goes downhill!

You pick the foods which are then sent straight to your door. Assuming you don’t live across the street from a Burger King, cheating on this diet is a lot harder since you don’t have a lot of extra food in your fridge (although you can just eat more than 1 portion).

Frozen delivered 2/28/18. Tracker says dry will arrive 3/2. Then 3/5, then 3/7. Never delivered. I had to go to the post office to pick it up, but tracker showed “Delivered”. NOT true. Called Customer Service- “Sorry, we aren’t responsible for deliveries. That’s your problem?” VERY nasty!! So I buy a soda at McDonald’s and the cup leaks. I take it back and they say “Sorry, you have to call the cup maker”. A joke. You sell the whole package. You should be accountable for all of it. My entire food schedule was thrown off by an 8-day gap. I saw 5 UPS trucks pass my house during that week. Weather not a factor, just a UPS/ Nutrisystem excuse.

It was nice to not have to worry about food too much, though it was annoying to have to stay stocked up on veggies and such. Overall, the meals and even desserts were pretty good, and it’s good that they get you eating several small meals a day. It’s something I picked back up again in the past year — and it’s done wonders for my blood sugar and how much I eat.

After being on Nutrisystem for 6 months, I decided to change my plan to the “weekends on my own” plan, also known as “weekends off”. Does Nutrisystem weekends off work? Yes, it does work. With this plan, I picked 20 days of meals instead of 28 which left me to defend for myself two days a week. To transition off of Nutrisystem, I needed to learn to apply my own foods to my diet that are equivalent to Nutrisystem meals.

As you will probably read in other Nutrisystem weight loss reviews, the taste is not the only thing great about Nutrisystem foods. Each meal is individually wrapped with cooking instructions which made it easy to toss in my purse and go to work. Some of the meals are easy enough to eat while in the car. One of my favorite things about Nutrisystem foods is not having to figure out what to eat each day and since the meals are all portion controlled, it takes the guess work out of having to measure or weigh what eat, because frankly, I’m too lazy to do that.

I am enjoying being on the Nutrisystem men’s basic plan. I am losing weight easily. I am feeling healthier every day. I am enjoying the foods I am eating, and I am enjoying the compliments I am receiving on my weight loss. My girlfriend can’t keep her eyes off of me.

If there was some sort of correlating taste on Earth, I would share it, but I’ve never tasted anything like it and I hope I never do again. I love peanut sauce over Thai noodles at just about any Thai joint in town, but NutriSystem’s attempt at it was horrendous. I took three bites before I decided to totally skip a dinner entree that night.
