“How much does it cost to join Nutrisystem”

Nutrisystem has empowered me to lose weight and maintain a healthy lifestyle. As an added bonus, I now do all the cooking for my girlfriend, which has really helped our love life. After all, who can’t throw an extra dish in the microwave for 5 minutes? Give it a try guys and I expect your girlfriend will be just as happy as mine is.

Let me start by saying that I buy my cards through Costco for $199.00. This is actually a good plan because you get the card and then you go on Nutrisystem’s web site. The Nutrisystem website offers ratings on the food items. Trust me, you don’t want them telling you what you’re going to be eating. This plan is weekdays only. So, weekends are on your own. I way prefer this. Years ago my wife and I did the full plan and the auto-ship thing. We ended up with a ton of uneaten, expensive food. On this plan I can accomplish several goals. On this, I order food when I’m ready so, if we go on vacation I don’t have a shipment sitting on my front porch in the rain for a week and I’m not accumulating a lot of expensive food I can’t eat. I know I have two days a week to plan out potential restaurant trips. The weekends on your own works far better for me. This plan teaches me to eat right even when not eating Nutrisystem’s food and I’m getting better at it.

Hey Jodi, I’m real happy you’re having such a great experience with Nutrisystem. And thanks for the firsthand info on what can cause bloating/gas. It just goes to show when you ask the right questions, you get answers!

The 2013 study found that obese diabetics on the company’s “D” program reduced their A1C significantly more than dieters assigned to diabetes self-management education. The study also found that 72 percent of the Nutrisystem group met the American Diabetes Association goal of tight blood sugar control – an A1C level of less than 7 percent – at six months, compared with only 44 percent of the control group. What’s more, 28 percent of Nutrisystem dieters reduced the intensity of their diabetes medication regimen at the six-month mark, while only 4 percent of control dieters did.

The only reason I can see for getting Nutrisystem is that it is an economical way to have a lot of food in the house that is extremely easy to prepare. That’s it. That’s the reason to do this. You will get sick and tired of pretty much everything after a few months, so this is a short time thing. I’m not sorry I did it, but I canceled after the mandatory two months. I’ll go to the supermarket and get other things to eat. I’ll get some fruit, some Celentano eggplant parm and stuffed shells, some frozen dinners and veggies. When I use up the remaining 3 weeks of Nutrisystem food I have in the house, I won’t ever do this again.

Nutrisystem also puts much emphasis on the importance of exercise. The company encourages “50 minutes of moderately intense physical activity each week” through its My Daily 3® plan. This focuses on 30 minutes of daily physical activity.

I wanted to lose 20 pounds, but ended up shaving off 30 pounds thanks to Nutrisystem. Now that I am off the plan I am back to eating my wife’s cooking; however, I now know how to eat healthier and how to pace myself so I eat smaller portions.

The food is truly inedible unless you have no taste buds. Here’s an example. The pizza was a tasteless cracker that is covered with a small amount of tasteless sauce and covered with an even smaller amount of tasteless fake cheese, it was absolutely disgusting. The other entrees were also horrible and I ended up throwing everything out. The food is truly terrible.

Nutrisystem for Women helps you lose weight using a scientific system based on calorie and portion control. You can exercise all you like – but if you’re not eating the right food, and if you’re eating more calories than you’re spending, then you’re never going to lose weight. Weight loss is that simple.

And one more thing… This Diet won’t work if you don’t follow the schedule in eating food at the same and don’t move enough. To get the results faster in losing weight and changing your life, the best way is to combine Nutrisystem diet and doing exercises.

My mom did the Nutrisystem diet back in the late 80s, after giving birth to me a few years prior, and lost all of her baby weight. She did it for 3 months. She told me that the first month was “okay” but that by the end of her 2nd month, she had lost almost all of her baby weight but also had so much more energy, which gave her the motivation to start running again. I wish I could post a screen cap of her text saying this so people would know it’s real lol. By the end of her 3rd month, she said she had lost ALL of her baby weight plus a few more pounds. She recommended it to me when I started talking about wanting to lose some weight, so we both decided to do it. She’s been on it for a month and has lost 8 lbs. I’ve been on it for 3 weeks (I started a week later so my bf and I could start together— I convinced him after I had already ordered with her), and I’ve lost 6 lbs. I am 28 years old, 5’4” and was 127 lbs when I started. This may not sound big at ALL to a lot of you, but trust me, if I wore a tight shirt (and let’s be honest, I’m 28 so I want to)… the love handles were all I could see in the mirror. I have a VERY short upper torso so adding just a few tiny extra pounds shows up fast on me. :/ I don’t consider myself fat by ANY means in the slightest. But I don’t see any problem with wanting to look better as long as I’m doing it in a healthy manner…. which I am. I’ve been exercising and eating all the meals the way they tell you to, and I now weigh 121ish and feel awesome in both my work clothes and going-out clothes. An inch off my waist and a few less pounds is all I really needed and that’s exactly what I got. I don’t need to lose too much more weight so if the weight loss starts declining a little bit, for ME, that’s actually a good thing. Obviously, for some others, I can see why they might get frustrated. This diet isn’t for everyone, but that’s no reason to rag on it. Prior to considering nutrisystem at all, my boyfriend and I always complained about picky eaters in our office who literally always find something bad to say about even normal *RESTAURANTS*. We’re talking like… Luby’s, Chili’s, McDonalds…. They’d say things like “UGH… the mashed potatoes are always so bland” (then why do you continue to order from there?), “The breading on these chicken strips are soggy” (yeah, you picked it up 20 minutes ago and have been on the phone for another 5 before you started eating so they’ve just been sitting).. “This burger is too greasy” (It’s fast food…. ARE YOU KIDDING??). We, however, I guess are not picky whatsoever because we NEVER feel this way even when we can see what they mean. It doesn’t actually affect our ability to judge it as a whole. Okay… well, sorry for making this into a long story but… I can clearly see that this is exactly what’s happening with the food from nutrisystem. Every single person who complains about the food sounds IDENTICAL to each other. They might as well all be the same person writing a different review. Just listen to how they talk. Just… high maintenance, stuck up, picky eaters. Yes, the food from nutrisystem is more bland than a steak dinner from Outback (oh dear GOD, i bet some of you are already thinking about how “terrible” Outback is instead of understanding my point)….. but it baffles me that these people actually expect hand-delivered, hot, fresh gourmet meals. And to those of you who say “No i’m not expecting gourmet, but I wouldn’t even feed this to my dog”… YOU ARE A SELFISH, UNAPPRECIATIVE ***hole. I know what point you’re trying to make, but these foods are not THAT bad to where a dang dog who eats his own throw up wouldn’t eat it. Not even close, you overly picky eater. And nonetheless, there are starving people out there who would take a frozen salisbury steak without complaining. And these people aren’t even TRYING to diet. …..A point that should be more than taken into consideration! No one on this green earth should expect to start a diet and expect the food to even remotely compare to what they’d eat if they WEREN’T DIETING. I was eating Chick-Fil-A sandwiches and french fries before this diet, so yeah… I felt the change in taste! DUH. But if I cared more about the taste of food than losing the weight (which thousands and thousands of people have said they’ve lost the weight), then I’d still be unhappy with my weight! It’s not SO bad to where I can’t endure it for a better cause, which is looking and feeling better. I will stay on nutrisystem for my 2nd month and see what happens after that. So sorry for this being so long but I had to say something because reading all the comments from complainers was the most aggravating thing I’ve seen in months.

To be honest, considering that this is supposed to be a diet and diet foods are generally healthy foods, I was shocked at how edible most foods were. For our readers who really couldn’t handle NutriSystem foods, all I can say is, good luck dieting.

“I expected dry cardboard flavored food but was so pleasantly surprised. The food (at least what I ordered) was delicious! The chocolate muffins, A+, Pasta Items A++. Unfortunately, it wasn’t agreeing with my body so I had to stop the program. Customer Service provided me with a full refund, no hassles. My experience with Nutrisystem has been a great one!”

When I hear folks say they lost this or that pounds, I think to myself, that’s cool. But when I hear someone say my tight clothes are now baggy, I think HELL YEAH! That’s what we’re doing this for. For US not for the bathroom scales!

I exercise daily for short periods, and stay active. I also use the diary and all the trackers to help keep me going. So far I have lost 23 pounds and only have a few more to go. When I get to my ideal weight I will still stay on Nutrisystem because I love the food. There’s nothing to count, no meetings and no embarrassment. Everything takes place in my house where no one knows, and the food is so good. Everything you need to succeed is available to you, and you don’t have to pay an arm and a leg to get it.

A key factor in successfully losing weight is holding yourself accountable. Eating the meals as prescribed isn’t enough. It is important to track your progress along the way. You get an array of online tools that allow you to track your progress, including logging your meals and your workouts. Some plans include unlimited counseling from registered nutritionists and dietitians, and that can be immensely helpful–especially if you don’t seem to be getting any results or are having other issues. The official site also includes a blog, The Leaf Blog, which provides daily doses of motivation to keep you inspired and on track.

Costs: Prices vary, but a 4-week supply of meal replacements will cost at least $300 plus shipping. A seven-pack of any meal replacement (smoothies, oatmeal bars, shakes, or other foods) costs $16.95.

One of the parts of this program that I really like is the Restaurant Guide. We love to eat out on the weekends, and I know this Restaurant Guide is going to help me a lot. I am happy so far with the plan, and I hope I’m finally on the way to getting to the weight I’ve always wanted to be.

I have just finished my sixth week on Nutrisystem. I do add all of the vegetables, I have at least one focused protein supplement, and I train in a gym 5 to 6 days a week. I am 43-year-old male, I weighed 268 when I started, and my strength was about 280 on benchpress and 295 on squat. I now weigh 248 and did 320 on bench and did a set of 5 squats with 315. I am noticeably changed… And I will be staying on this diet, for a couple more months, until I hit my goal weight of 230 and I learn how to eat right to maintain.

I’m on my first week (turbo10) & love it so far!! Although I’m ready for next week when I can have some extra protein instead of just veggies as my only extra… I swear I’m going to turn into a greenbean!!! lol

Notice that you get all your food delivered to your home. That means you don’t need to go to the store to buy groceries (if you don’t want to). You don’t need to prepare any food or cook any food. Everything that can possibly be done is done for you. Except maybe providing someone to spoon feed you the food! It doesn’t come any easier than this and certainly not any more convenient.

Sweet, savory and simple—these Mini No-Bake Lemon Coconut Cheesecake Bites check off every box. With five simple steps you can create a little piece of coconut bliss. We know you’re probably thinki…

Its good for portion control. I am starting my 2nd month and I haven’t exercised but lost 6lbs. If I would exercise the benefit would be much better. If you supplement your meals with Steam fresh vege’s and brown rice with your dinner it really fills you up. Good luck.

I use the meal planner to help me eat healthier, and since there are snacks and desserts included I don’t have to wonder what I can have. My favorite food is the black beans and rice, and the cheese ravioli. These are really filling and taste good too. Even when my kids come over for dinner on the weekends, I still eat healthy meals and don’t stray from the types of foods I eat during the week. I exercise like I should and follow the plan so that I can lose weight and be healthy at the same time.

I love Nutrisystem. I signed up for Nutrisystem’s men’s basic plan about three months ago. When I started the program I did not know if I would stick with it. Diets can be hard to stick with sometimes. However, the Nutrisystem plan is not hard to stick with. The plan is laid out so simply that anyone can follow it.

Jokes aside, what I really like about Nutrisystem is they reset your mind to look at eating in a more balanced way. You eat what you need. No more, no less. Honestly, at first, this was a literal shock to my system. I went from the 4,000 calorie a day consumption to 1,000 calories per day – for the first week.

If you have ten pounds or more that you need to lose, they have a ready-made plan for you. If you have less than ten to drop, you can customize a menu that will still help you meet your goals. Either way, you will be able to find a plan that fits your budget, matches your weight loss goals, and meets your dietary and nutritional needs.

I was on NS for 3 months. I lost 44lbs. What I found was to lose it, you did have to walk and drink a bunch of water. The water helps fill you up and you don’t eat as much. I would eat a small salad with diet dressing with meals, that also helped. I had to stop it because I could not afford it any longer, but ready to do it again.

Hi. This has been a very informative site. I just completed the First 5 on Nutrisystem but only lost Close to four pounds. I can say Without a doubt that that I followed it exactly as directed. Although I don’t have a lot more o lose, I’m still eight pounds above my goal weight. I stared Nutrisystem because of menopause. It started three years ago and the weight kept climbing, and I found it to be beyond my control for the first time in my life. I think the food is actually quite tasty, with the exception of only one thing I’ve tried so far. I will continue with the program until I’ve learned how to maintain my weight for this stage of my life.

NS really works i have been using it for about 2 weeks and i lost 6 pounds but what i didn’t like is how the food tasted. im not saying that there bad but some foods were good and some were really good.also with nutri system you hav to excerise regullary while eating the foods

Thanks for the pricing info. I have tried Nutrisystem a couple of times in years past, and I’m eager to give it another shot. Hoping to lose 5 to 10 pounds, and don’t really want to stay on it for more than month or two at most. Has anyone else been able to do this? Thanks again.

I was on 185 and went on Medifast for 5 months lost 40 lbs the food it works but the food is limited and really awful .. Gained the weight back . I was so excited to start th NS because of the so many foods to pick from I ordered s lot of frozen figuring less preservatives . Just started the turbo take off and the food taste gourmet compared to Medifast .Hopefully I will get the same results

  1. In 2017, Nutrisystem successfully tested the Lean 13 Program, a diet plan for even better results than the previous flagship of the company, the Turbo 10 program. Lean 13 delivers what the title says: up to 13 pounds of weight loss and 7 inches of “waist loss” within the first month of starting the program. Lean 13 is a dietitian approved mix of high protein and low carbohydrate foods that can help you to retain muscle mass while reducing your fat intake. Nutrisystem says they has experimented behind the scenes with different combinations of meals to optimize this plan. All of the meal choices within Lean 13 correspond with the top findings in the experiments, claims the company. On Lean 13, Nutrisystem claims that you  get meals and snacks to ensure that you never go hungry. NutriCrush® bars and TurboShakes™ are meant to support your digestive health with good probiotic bacteria, reduce belly bloat, and create an even more effective, tasty weight loss program. Aside from the special snacks and meals, you also get comprehensive support from weight loss coaches, certified diabetes educators and registered dietitians seven days a week.
Hi Kelly – sorry to hear that! Have you tried connecting with the Nutrisystem counseling service? They’re a great resource and should have some tips and encouragement for dropping those first few pounds.
Let’s clear up a couple of things and make them perfectly clear: The cost of $10 per person per day is not cheap and it’s not less than you were spending before. That equates to $70 per week plus a few more bucks for the veggies you need to buy and the liquids you need to drink.
I’m happier with the lunch choices though. All of the soups are great, but I really love the Chicken Salad. I also think that the breakfast choices and dessert options are really helping me to stick to the diet.
Nutrisystem recommends that clients follow the directions included in every meal plan. However, most of the plans include flex meals, which are open meals that are created solely by the client. The program also has some guidelines for these flex plans such as ingredients to stay away from.
