“Calories in Nutrisystem vegetable lasagna”

I’ve been on Nutrisystem for a week and now I have a bladder infection, even after drinking the amount of water recommended. I wish I had done this research before committing to this program. I’ve never eaten so many preservatives. I hope I haven’t ruined my health!

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. While it is true that the latter part of the year is slower, our commission plan is structured to provide for higher commissions for those who meet annual revenue targets. Generally, these targets are met in time for the last few months of the year. Additionally, our sales roles are unique in that we provide paid PTO to all of our sales reps and additionally encourage use during the last quarter of each year to ensure our team is rested and ready for “Diet Season”. Thanks again for the feedback and best to you in the future…. MoreLess

Hi. This has been a very informative site. I just completed the First 5 on Nutrisystem but only lost Close to four pounds. I can say Without a doubt that that I followed it exactly as directed. Although I don’t have a lot more o lose, I’m still eight pounds above my goal weight. I stared Nutrisystem because of menopause. It started three years ago and the weight kept climbing, and I found it to be beyond my control for the first time in my life. I think the food is actually quite tasty, with the exception of only one thing I’ve tried so far. I will continue with the program until I’ve learned how to maintain my weight for this stage of my life.

Hi Sam – Thanks for the positive feedback. Losing 20 pounds is definitely doable with Nutrisystem, but I would budget at least two months. With their new Lean 13 program, they’re saying it’s possible to lose up to 13 pounds in the first week on the program. If you hit that benchmark, then it wouldn’t take too much longer to hit that 20 pound goal! That said, I would plan for at least 2 months, but it’s going to be different for everyone. Hope that helps!

this is my 5th day on nutrisystem..yes, a lot of the food is disgusting…but at 51 and almost 100 pounds to lose, I thought I’d try it…i have lost 8 pounds so far…i take a multi-vitamin because the meals don’t include a lot of nutrients…with other diets it’s taken me about 2 months to lose 10 pounds..i needed something to jumpstart my diet and to get me back into the habit of eating smaller portions…i am diabetic, and i’m on the meal plan for diabetics…i think the determining factor will be when i go to my doctor for blood work at the end of this month…

Since I’m losing weight, I plan on continuing with the Basic Plan, but I’m going to switch up what I choose for the dinner choices. I guess that is what is so good about the plan; I can change what I eat if I find something that I really dislike. Even though I don’t like some of the dinner food, this really is the best weight loss plan I’ve tried.

I am on day 4 of the 5 day plan, and I have followed the plan to a tee. The first day was the hardest (very hungry in the afternoon), but I have since been fine. The program works by giving you a base meal, and you add additional items. Typically, you add in 2 proteins, 3 veggies, and 2 carbs a day. So here is an example of my day: Breakfast: provided meal and Greek yogurt – protein #1 Snack: an apple – carb #1 Lunch: provided meal with a salad containing chicken or hard boiled egg, mushrooms, tomatoes, and a light vinaigrette dressing – veggie #1 and protein #2, Snack: carrots and celery – veggie #2, Dinner: provided dinner, and add canned pineapple and steamed broccoli – carb #2 and veggie #3 There is also a dessert, which I have only eaten once because I haven’t been hungry after dinner and I forget about it. Is the food good? Some is and some isn’t. It’s a diet! Last I checked, diet food is a always a compromise. I was not a big fan of the lasagna, but I could eat it. The beef and potatoes is gross, but I added S&P, and it was tolerable. I thought the pizza was pretty good for microwaved pizza. The rest of the meals so far are fine. Since I add a salad with chicken or an egg, I don’t miss a “meal” when the provided lunch is a meal bar. And I’m not hungry! I was SURE I was going to be starving on this plan. I’m not. I just picked up another 5 day pack to continue with the plan for another few days before deciding whether to sign up for the regular Nutrisystem plan. I am leaning towards doing it. I’ve lost 2 lbs. in 3 days, and my weight doesn’t typically fluctuate, so I know it is real weight loss. For ease of use compared to other diets I’ve done, this is definitely worth it. If I could spend hours planning and prepping my own food, I’d skip this. But even with the prep time needed for the food like chopping veggies, cooking chicken/eggs, etc., it is worth it for me to use the plan. I’d recommend trying it. The worst you could lose is the money spent on the meal plan. Or, you might lose some weight!

Dietitians at Nutrisystem designed the program to contain small portions, balanced nutrition, and frequent meals. The program encourages customers to eat every 2-3 hours. We discovered that the portions are shockingly tiny.

So everyone is squaking about Nutrisystems food being horrible, compared to Weight Watcher meals is Nutrisystem better or worse tasting. This is the only way I would know. May I have some feedback on this.

On their Core plan, which costs $295 a month, meals might include pizza, chocolate muffins, and loaded baked potatoes—all their creations and all calorie, carb, fat and portion-controlled. The Core plan allows you to choose your food and have unlimited access to “expert counselors and dieticians.” [4]

The prepaid meal plan from Nutrisystem provides you with 28 days of meals. Each day includes a breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert. Meals combine complex low-glycemic carbohydrates, lean protein, fiber, and a bevy of nutrients to help you lose weight. Each meal is delivered to your home for convenience.

A few weeks later, I had a birthday and, well, you know how that goes. I ate cake but just a small piece. I also had to attend some family cookouts and a nephew’s wedding. It was somewhat of a struggle, but again, I have learned to eat small portions. The biggest struggle was everyone trying to get me to eat more. People think that since you lost a few pounds, you can go back to eating the way you used too. It doesn’t work that way. It’s a lifestyle change and you have to stay strong. Though I wished I could have had seconds, I didn’t and walked away feeling like Wonder Woman.

The simplicity of the system was also regularly praised in many customer reviews we found. Several people enjoyed the stress-free “a la carte” style of dining it permitted without having to calculate every little detail.

I just finished 5 wks of nutrisystem and I have Been really with the exception of 3 days out of this whole time!!! I could probably use more activity but I lost a total of 5 lbs which is as very slow process but the food is not terrible and at least I am losing, at this rate I need to lose 25 more lbs and I am a true foodie so trying to stick with it and not let temptation get a hold of me!!! At this rate it will take a while. It is is healthy to lose slowly, and try not to get discouraged because my loss is slower han I had thought!!! But bottom line, it is working!!!

However, it seemed many of the foods were cheaply made. While the meat wasn’t bad, it didn’t taste like it was anywhere close to grade A and every item that supposedly had fruits and nuts built into it, had almost none. I was also frequently disappointed when I opened lunches and dinners to find mostly sauce rather than meat and vegetables.

The story I was covering kept me in Virginia so late, I had to stay an extra day. I planned accordingly, but with one breakfast already down the hatch and no extra helpings, the food was running low. I spread it out as much as possible and, starving again, made the long trek back, fighting the nagging hunger with one last NutriSystem dessert as I drove through fast-food nation.

Nutri-System Inc. was said to be negotiating with potential buyers Thursday as it sought a way out of the financial mess that forced it to abruptly close 280 company-owned diet centers across the country, including about 40 in the greater Los Angeles area. The company was thrown into corporate chaos late Wednesday when its bankers seized the troubled company’s cash and took control of its bank accounts. The company immediately sent its 1,800 employees home indefinitely.

The most affordable plan, the Basic Plan is a four-week plan that offers four meals per day for women and five meals per day for men–men get one additional snack per day, which is why they get more meals.

One last point: If you do wish to cancel, you MUST do it done by phone (the phone number is clearly printed on the home page of the official website). You cannot cancel via the website. That’s just a heads up!

Another study from Florida State University titled “Effects of Diet and/or Low-Intensity Resistance Exercise Training on Arterial Stiffness, Adiposity and Lean Mass In Obese Postmenopausal Women,” has shown that “Nutrisystem improves arterial function in obese, postmenopausal women.” [9]

I have been on Nutrisystem for 9 weeks and have lost 22 lbs. Five years ago I lost 62 lbs on NS, but over the years I gained back 38 lbs. Now I am back on the system and intend to stay until I reach my goal weight. My co-worker is using Jenny Craig but it was just to cost prohibitive for me. I’ve tried her meals and honestly didn’t think they were as tasty as Nutrisystems are.

a woman i know was doin it and either she didn’t have the will power or the food jus wasn’t enough, but she’d often eat more food than what was given to her. a girlfriend of mine told me about medifast, it’s like nutrisystem only much older and not as hyped up as nutrisystem. she told me that the only hard part about it was not drinkin alcohol when her other friends wanted to party. she’s been on it for 6 weeks and has lost 20lbs. whatever you do read into it as much as you can. i hope the links below are helpful. good luck to you~!

I am on my second week of NutriSystem and I have to say most of the food is horrible. I have had a few good things, but overall I will not purchase another month of food. I think Jenny Craig has much better tasting food, though both programs aren’t cheap.

With that in mind, they’ve made a lot of changes over the last couple of years, so let’s take a look at what you can expect from their latest weight loss program – with our latest Nutrisystem Turbo13 review.

Other diets were boring and felt like a waste of time since I never felt any changes. When the weekends rolled around, I’d go right back to my bad eating habits. Again, “there is always Monday right?” My weight reached up to 168 lbs. and I was in a size 12. I would often kid around with my husband by telling him that he was actually only married to half of me.

I just finished my 28th day on the Nutrisystem Women’s Basic Plan and I couldn’t be happier. I have lost ten pounds by sticking to their meals and tracking my exercise. I feel like this Nutrisystem Plan has given me a personal dietician in my own home.

I just ordered this food because of the freeze dried packaged convenience. I have access to water and a microwave at work and at home for my food. I expecially like the fact that I can keep a few lunches in my desk in case I forget to bring my lunch! I’m a diabetic on an insulin pump. My body retains a lot of fluid. The dietician removed the extra high sodium items for me. I got in on the $299.99 plan per month. I plan on on it 4 months if I can, and all I have to stay on for the extra savings is 2 months. I’m praying this will work for me and I’m determined to get into the gorgeous clothes that I find for my niece, but can’t currently use on myself! hahaha! I spend well over $500.00 per month on food so this is a great deal for me. I will save the difference for my new wardrobe!!

I have been on Nutrisystem for close to two months now. Have lost about 30 pounds. As time has gone by I have lost my sense of taste. Don’t know if being on Nutrisystem has anything to do with it or not. Should I be concerned?

2. Tastes good. I can’t understand the bad reviews about the food. I hate high sodium, processed food. The food in this program tastes pretty good, not great homemade, but does not taste overly processed to me. I cook homemade meals (largely organic, fresh) almost every night for my family, so I am not a processed food eater usually, and I like the food. Admittedly, I am not a great cook, so most of the meals I make are pretty simple and not perfectly cooked or flavored. Maybe the food on this program is better tasting than my usual fare? I don’t know, but I found it easy to prepare a meal for my family and yet eat my own food because it tastes so good.

I am amazed. I have been a life long devotee to Weight Watchers and was actually a leader for 8 years. I have regained all my weight over the last 10 years. I recognized, after trying anything I could think of to lose weight that what I needed to get started was a program that was prepared for me that had no alternative choices and was rigid and tasty enough to satisfy me. Well here I am 17.8 pounds lighter after using NS since August 15th. I could not be more pleased with the results. The only change from the suggested menu I have made is to use cooked spaghetti squash (1/2 cup equals 1 cup of fresh vegetables) to bulk up my evening meals. I have been following it to a T and am completely thrilled. I add garlic to things that taste bland and top my pop tart sized pizza with mushrooms galore to full me up. I don’t love the food bars but with this amount of success with buy yet another box. Re the expense? It is less than the cost of a meal out for hubby and I, and we’ve not gone out to eat since I started. Hoping I can keep just dedication in the front of my mind since I have much to lose. Thank you Nutri System and Walmart for the encouragement to keep going!
